We began CHV Productions in 1997. It was Chris Hursh Video Productions back then, but as we grew, we simplified our name. The company was started by Chris and his wife Angela. Both Chris and Angela had spent many years in local broadcast news, and were looking for options as their careers matured. Chris spent 18 years at WKRC-TV working in local news coverage of sports, weather, and general news events. He traveled across the country covering stories like Hurrican Katrina, 9-11, one year anniversary in New York, the Moore Oklahoma Tornado, historic Mississippi River Flooding in Memphis, and the list goes on. He covered sporting events including NCAA basketball March Maddness appearances from Xavier, UC, and UK, Reds Playoff games in Pittsburgh, and mulitiple Cincinnati Bengals games. He also provided national coverage for CBS News, his work was featured on CBS Sunday Morning, The CBS Evening News, 60 Minutes, just to name a few. He's also worked for NBC News, TV2 in Denmark, and provides live coverage yearly to Comcast Sports for the Baltimore Ravens visit to Cincinnati.
For the past two years Chris has been working at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medica Center in their Marketing & Communications Department on the video team. This full time experience in corporate media has helped to continue to refine Chris's storytelling skills. Several of our examples in the Gallery are from Chris's time at Cincinnati Children's. These projects were shot and edited by Chris. He has a passion for telling stories, and it shows.
His wife Angela is a successful Content Marketer for the The Public Library of Cincinnati and Hamilton County. She has an extensive background in web and social media, as she managed the web and social media content at WKRC-TV prior to her work at the Library. Angela serves CHV as our Executive Producer, and writer. She's also our social media stategist, and assists with content creation and scripting. We really are a small dedicted team here at CHV Productions.
We are not a big company, and we don't need tons of staff to tell great stories. We are small for a reason. If you want big, hire someone else. If you want cost effective video productions that can be a powerful way to share your message, then give us a call. We will be happy to work with you on our next project. Come make history with us.
